New Moon: Taurus

Hey, welcome to the Cyclical Stars Podcast.

Today. We are talking all about the New Moon in Taurus and how to use it, why it might be important, and what it means for our souls, evolution and this journey in this lifetime. Because, as you may know, astrology is an incredible tool to tap into the undercurrents, or the overarching energies that we can be working with and the energy that's supporting us in this journey, because we all know that it can get what's the right word, maybe a little bit challenging, overwhelming at times when we are on this path and things pop up, and the human experience tends to human experience. So it's really beautiful to have these energetic tools to work with, such as astrology. And to me, that's what astrology is all about. It's these beautiful planetary energies that we are intrinsically connected to. As it happens above, we can also tap into it below. You may have heard the way that I've explained astrology, as we are all a body, like the whole universe, the whole galaxy, like everything, is a body, and inside that body is all the little cells. And us humans are the cells, the planets are the cells, the animals, everything, the elements, we are all inside this body. So as one shifts, it all shifts because we are in this beautiful co creation and this intrinsic connection together.

So for me, astrology is this divine connection that we have to the nature, to nature, the natural world and everything surrounding us. And so I love to look at astrology in a way of, How can this be supporting us? What is this mirror? What is this invitation? What is this flow state that we can connect into? So that is why I love sharing astrology, and that's why I'm so excited to be here each fortnight and just share more about the new moon and the full moon, because the New Moon is an incredible place to begin. Whenever we want to have a fresh beginning, whether we want to plant seeds, whether we want to just connect deeper into our next steps. I truly believe that the New Moon is such a potent time to do this, and as our ancestors have always done the New Moon is an incredible moment to stop and start to cultivate that and literally plant the seeds. Literally look at the goals. Literally have that fresh, clean start. So some beautiful things that you can do on a new moon are cleansing you can I don't know why this is coming to mind, but like wiping down mirrors or glass is really beautiful. That cleansing, you know, yeah, especially your mirrors, your glass, wiping your floors, like going to the nooks and crannies, like doing those deeper cleans are really beautiful on a new moon, and particularly because we don't have an eclipse during this time where it was we just had Eclipse seasons, not the last moon, but the couple beforehand. We've had these quite big Eclipse seasons. And even the last Libra Full Moon that we had a couple of weeks ago definitely had ecliptic energy, because it has been connected to the eclipses for the last year and a half like the sign of Libra. So we definitely felt some karmic connection through that.

But this new moon, it doesn't have that karmic connection. It's not connected to the south or north node of the moon, which is all about cleansing of relationship patterns and everything like that, and everything to do with our unconscious. So this new moon just feels that little bit cleaner, more stable, which I'm really looking forward to. And therefore, because it is that Earth, beautiful Taurus Moon that we have, I just, yeah, I feel like cleansing the house is really important, and it's something that I'm gonna do in those little nooks and crannies, a good vacuum, wiping down my mirrors, doing the laundry, all those little things could be a really beautiful invitation for you to work with. And I use the word beautiful a lot, and right now I'm just thinking like, Why do I always use the word beautiful? But because it creates that space, that beauty within us, that feels that harmony and connection, and that's always a really good thing to do when we have a new moon. So we have this new Moon in Taurus. And Taurus to me, you know, I want to kind of start with the sign today. Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac, and when we begin the Zodiac wheel. So if you're not 100% sure what I'm talking about, we have 12 signs of the zodiac, and you may have heard them. You may have heard of your sun sign. So that would be, if you were born during Aquarius season, you would have your sun in Aquarius. Or you might say my star sign, it's Aquarius, but we are so much more than that. We have our Sun, Moon, we have Mercury, Venus, Mars. We have all of the planets. We also have all of the houses, which is something that I can chat more about. It's a little bit more intermediate, probably. And then we have all of these beautiful spots in the birth chart. And so what's a really important part of the birth chart, and the Zodiac in astrology, is the sign, okay? It's the signs from Aries to Taurus to Gemini. So we have these 12 signs that go around the Zodiac wheel. And the very first sign of the zodiac wheel is Aries. And so Aries is the sign that takes its first breath. It's fire. It kind of says, Hello, I'm here. It's this energy of, let's go. I'm ready to explore. I'm ready to learn. I guess it could say by taking that action. So Aries are quite good at getting things off the ground and actually giving things a go. There's this beautiful, spontaneous breath ignition that comes from Aries, because they are ready to give life a crack. It reminds me of like the crack of the whip, the bullet, the gate, kind of energy like, let's go into this experience, and then when we reach the next sign, Taurus, because each of the signs connect to each other in an evolutionary manner.

When we get to Taurus, it's really about like, sorry excuse me. It really says, okay, Aries, amazing. I'm so glad you've gone and hit the ground rolling. I'm so glad Aries, that you have gone and made this decision. You've jumped out the gate, you've gone and climbed a tree, and maybe now Aries has climbed this tree, and then it's fallen off and broken its arm. Taurus is like, okay, let's just take it into the earth. Now, let's just take a deep breath. So Taurus, to me, can definitely be like a nervous system regulation. It can definitely like regulation really comes to me when I think about Taurus, because it's seen the the spark and the energy and the ignition of Aries, and said, Let's just ground in a little bit more. Let's just take that deeper breath, you know, let's come back into the body. So Taurus really rules the body, and it's about coming back into your center and how we are so deeply connected to Earth, nature and the pleasures that we can experience through our body and Taurus is that beautiful energy for me, because It rules the senses. So the senses are interconnected with us.

You know, we hear, we see, we speak, we smell, we touch.

Am I missing one? Some Taurus will probably tell me I'm missing one. And I think that is just such a beautiful connection with Taurus, because it reminds us that we can experience life through our body and actually experience pleasure through our body by coming back and being here and being now and being present. And that's one thing. Whenever I've been around Taurus or people with a Taurus sun, Taurus Moon, Taurus rising, maybe even their South Node in Taurus, or their north node in Taurus, you know where you're heading to in this lifetime. There's this sense of being in this moment and coming back into this reality and grounding into the now, which is actually really beautiful. I've used that word, but it is a very beautiful way of being because it also invites other people to be in this moment as well. So that's what Taurus kind of represents for me. And of course, I could keep. talking about Taurus in the sense that there are many things that I appreciate about it, and there's many layers to Taurus. It can rule music because of that sense quality. And of course, it loves all of the different senses from like I've just mentioned seeing. So that beautiful sight, that esthetics, those beautiful, visionary quality, but also, yeah, the hearing, the noises, so it can be music and instruments and that symphony and all of that gorgeous energy.

But also something that really reminds me of Taurus is the abundance, because it is the sign that rules money. And the reason that is is because of its grounding quality that it has. It's Earth, so it can be here, and it has this natural talents, abilities, resources, because it is very grounded and in is connected to the senses. So there is this connection to worth, to the quality of self to resources of self, to the skills that we can gain from our self and our body and our connection. So there's this real, beautiful part of Taurus that can be very tangible in the way that when we are connected into our skills and resources and worth, we can actually generate external worth too.

So it can rule the manifestations of money and material wealth, which can obviously be houses, currency, any investments that we make and Taurus, to me, is a self worth connection, the worth that we get from that connection from our self worth, worth in the outside world, and very much about investment. So these are words that really come to me with Taurus, regulation, senses, grounding, the body, investment and worth. These are all really strong themes that come up. And of course, you know, you could talk about beauty, because it's ruled by Venus, but I tend to talk about more of the relating and the connections when I think about Libra, because Libra is also the sign that's ruled by Venus, and I think that's where we get that air Libran quality of connection and love and the relating qualities.

So when we look at Taurus, the sign that's also ruled by Venus. It comes through mostly in the sense of the grounding and the money and the abundance and the body that more Earth energy I look at. So that's when I look at the body and the senses and the investments and the material worth. So that's what I really see with Taurus. It's also that work quality. So that's what I mentioned about the resources and feeling like skillful and feeling like, yeah, you can also be a really beautiful commodity for yourself by the way that you look at your your skills within yourself, and how you put them to use in that real Earth way, and how that is quite important. Hence why Taurus can be called quite hard working in a way. They also really love their their pleasure and their connection. But if you do know a Taurus, they can be quite strong and secure in what they're doing with their money and how they actually generate wealth for themselves. And then furthermore, now that we know that little bit about Taurus and the quality of Taurus, and we know a little bit about that new moon, which is about the new beginnings, the fresh starts, the cleansing energy. And I think that's particularly potent since the Eclipse portals, the eclipse season that we had, I would say, for probably the past six weeks or so, where we have been really deep in cleansing our old karmic relationships, ancestral relationships, came through quite strongly as well, in in my case, particularly, too, and we had this deep awareness understanding and ability to cleanse and clear old patterns that no longer serve us in quite a profound way. And I would have spoken about that on my previous podcast too, especially when it comes to the relationships and taking care of ourselves, and also just the New Beginnings that we are beginning to step into in the higher timelines. And I think this Taurus New Moon is a real solidification of that, because of the the the element you know of Earth with Taurus. It really shows us that we can be here now and come back into the body. So I think this will be a particularly beautiful energy to work with at the moment, when you are tuning into this new moon, you can really connect into those qualities that we spoke about. So, new moon, new beginnings, solidification from everything that we've experienced in the past six weeks or so, in that sense of Taurus. I really do think that there will be a stronger indication with both the sun and the moon here, our two luminaries, this new moon, I think that there will be a beautiful opening and. Beginning to start looking at our finances, at our abundance, but I think it's going to be the abundance that we can see from our worth and how we use our beautiful skills, our natural talents, our abilities, our resources, to actually generate money. Because I think that for me, Taurus, it does raw money and investments and things, but it can actually be from our own, yeah, skills and resources. How much we invest in ourselves, how much we invest in our worth, because that's what Taurus is really about. How much do you worth? Sorry, how much do you value yourself? How much do you invest in yourself? And I think that that's going to be a beautiful quality, especially coming from these big energies that we've experienced with so many new beginnings, especially Neptune, this huge planet that we have that hardly changes signs.

The last time it changed signs was 2011 and now we've had, you know, Neptune move into Aries. We're going to be having Saturn moving into Aries. We have planets moving through Aries at the moment. And so there's this really beautiful energy of brand new beginnings, self awareness, your divine appointment, your personal opportunities, how you step out into the world, your desires, your truth, your new cycle. And so I really feel that beautiful ignition within ourselves, this fire, this action, these gorgeous new beginnings, and so when we have this new moon and Taurus, to me, it's like a really wonderful way and really wonderful sign after what we've experienced with all that cleansing to be here now look at our worth. Look at our resources, look at our regulation, and look at how we invest in ourselves and value ourselves, and how that is probably going to be the foundation, the grounding, the connection we need the regulation we need to get the abundance, The worth and the finances possibly that we won, and also just how that manifests in the material world. Because we are in the material world, we are in a physical body in this lifetime, I guess in the 3d reality, you could say like we are here on Earth. And so there's that sense of how we can actually utilize our body and our awareness in that way to actually see our skills, see our worth, see our investments, and how that can really help us in this lifetime as well.

I just had a quick look at the chart again to see anything that was speaking to me, because I love to look at the chart, and what really came through as well is that beautiful energy that I've just spoken about, but also a bit of a connection that it this New Moon is having to the the beautiful transit of Mars in Leo. Now, without getting too specific, Mars has been a planet of backwards energy at the moment, because Mars has been in a retrograde since November to February, and it's actually been a planet that I've spoken a lot about. You've heard me probably speaking in my broadcast on this podcast, and just in general, throughout my, you know, experiences that I've been chatting about on Instagram, I really spoken about how Mars has been a really significant planet to track and to look at, because it has had some really profound insights in my own life, and I can see how it's been working with clients as well, without maybe even really noticing. So Mars goes backwards quite rarely. You know, Mercury goes backwards three times a year. Venus goes backwards every year and a half, which is quite rare as well. But Mars is even further. It only happens every two years. And so the last time we had Mars backwards in Mars Retrograde was in 2022 when I noticed such a shift. End of 2022 I started working with my mentor and a few people that I know had had really quite big and profound things happen at the end of 2022 especially, I think Mars is a really great planet to look at when we want to start something new that's really tapping into our desires and our primal energy in this lifetime, how we want to take action, and that real, beautiful, like energy that we have and so Mars is really great to look at. In that regard, to look at, you know, where we want to start to take action and energy on our soul desires what we want to overcome, and usually when we are doing things that are tapping into our primal desires that can, you know, we can be met with challenges and, you know, facing conflict and things like that. So Mars is that really beautiful planet to work with in the sense of looking at what we need to overcome, looking at the challenges and looking at them as divine and sacred hurdles that we can jump and overcome. And Mars has been backwards during this time, so it can start to bring up, you know, where am I not looking at my desires? Where am I not taking action? Where do I feel like I don't have much energy? Where am I lacking motivation? Where do I feel like I'm met with constant upheaval and all of these. Things. And it's interesting to me that this new and full moon is connected to this planet now. It's not in retrograde anymore. Mars has only recently, on the 18th moved forward. And what this means when Mars has been moving forward, it's no longer backwards, it's it feels like this fresh start in that regard. And I must say, it has been, you know, forward for some time now, and it just recently moved into Leo. So what all of this means is this connection that it has is now that Mars is forward, it's no longer in that backwards energy from about February, and now recently, on the 18th of this month, it's moved into a new sign of Leo, hence why it's connected in with this new moon. And for me, Mars in Leo is about taking that divine action, having that energy, overcoming the challenges, especially around our expression, our life force.

How we value ourselves and how we see ourselves, and the divine flair and flavour and, yeah, uniqueness that we can bring through birthing something into reality. That's what really Leo is for me. It's about birthing things into reality. It's about Divine Creation. It's about expression and about being. I am here now, and so when I see that this new moon is causing a square, causing attention to that, the thing that may pop up at this time could be how you are valuing yourself, valuing your resource, Taurus, new moon, and how this really needs to have a neutral connection, and how we need to start to invite our expression and flair and our birth and creation and actually take action on those things. So what I'm really seeing is, how can we take a regulated deep breath, invest in ourselves, invest in our worthiness, and how, the more we invest in our resources and value, the more we can birth what we truly want to and take action on what we truly want to in this lifetime, which is Mars and Leo. Mars and Leo is like, Let's go regarding our creations. Let's go regarding shining bright. Let's go when it comes to expression and flair and flavor and fun and drama. And not drama, sorry, but like that, you know, bringing birth into things. And I say drama because I see, like theatrics, and I see people getting up on stage and, you know, living their life and moving around and sharing that expression. So I think that's what's really important about Mars and Leo as it gets out there. And so when I see this little bit of a square, this little bit of attention towards this new moon, it could kind of invite me to look at how I need to regulate myself, how I need to invest in myself, which is very new moon and Taurus, regarding our finances and regarding this new abundance that we're in, this new steps forward, and how I really need to invite more action into the creation that I want, and how they are not really separate. The more I'm regulated, the more I can express, which I think is a really beautiful energy to work with during this time. The more I'm regulated, the more I can, yeah, express my creations and actually take action on my creation in this lifetime, which ultimately is something that we all want to be doing, because we come from creation. And the fact I say this for Leo is because Leo, you know, Mars and Leo. Leo is ruled by the sun, is ruled by that vision, just that beautiful expression, that creativity, and how we want to be contributing and being seen and feeling special. So the fact we have Mars here, and it's just come out of this cycle. I just really feel like now is the time we want to birth things into reality. And I think that this new moon is like, Hey, how can we take that deep breath? How can we plug into our body, our senses, and how that is going to just be in such a beautiful dance with the way that we want to create and the the flair that we want to bring to this world, because that's really important. It's important to feel like we are different. You know, we're not rinse and repeat. And that's something that Aquarius can embody to but Leo also. So that's really what I want to share. And then another little thing is, obviously this New Moon is ruled by Venus, and Venus has just come out of quite an interesting period itself, because Venus has been in a retrograde period, which I just mentioned. And that's slightly rarer, you know, every year and a half. And so Venus has been in this backwards period, and it's been through the lens of Aries and also Pisces. And for me, this has been a lot about our spirituality, a lot about our self sabotage, a lot about how we want to connect into ourselves, really, in the way of our spiritual appointments, and how that is just such a big quality, and like really, about how much we value our spirituality has been coming through really. Strongly. And so that is really ruling this new moon as well. And so what I would just have to say to that is our souls are very connected here. So it's not just expression from Mars, like, Oh, I'm just gonna, like, create this painting. I feel like it's really about this sense of it's connected to our soul. This moment is connected to our purpose. It's coming through so strongly, especially because we have our north node in Pisces at the moment, which is really going to be a strong calling to the feminine principle. It's going to be a really strong calling to spirit, to intuition, to the magic of life, of course, that's really connected to the feminine. So all of this to say, if I could encapsulate this in a few words, because I love to round this up. I love to make it a bow. Make it like a tie, all moving together. Is what I see. Is this new moon, this new beginning, this fresh start, this, this stabilization, this coming home, now to this being here, now to my resources, to my connection to self, to my senses, coming to my senses, because I realize that I am valued, and I can have these incredible resources if I invest in myself, Taurus, new moon, and how this is maybe causing a slight tension to the creations that we want, and how we want to birth new reality into life, and how there might be these things that are holding us back, and where we want to be sharing and being seen and getting out into the world and being that beautiful Leo, fresh energy, and how that tension might be inviting us to take a deep breath, to regulate to recognize your importance, to recognize your creation, and how this is really connecting into our purpose, our soul, how our soul is really connected here, and how this is not just, I'm, you know, creating something. It's really your tapestry of your life, and it's really a tapestry into your dreams, and how you're not sleeping on them anymore, and how it's a time to begin, and it's a fresh beginning in this way. And so all of this to say is, how can you regulate, how can you come to your senses and invest in yourself, invest in your timeline, and how that is really connected to our beautiful purpose and our creation, and why that is just in so much, yeah, beautiful co creation this lifetime and what we really want to birth.

And says energy that I'll be doing during this time will be to doing those cleansing, doing that clearing, and really coming into what can I use right now that I already have, that I've already invested in myself, my resources, my natural skills and abilities, and how can I make more abundance from this, through creation, through tapping into my creative abilities, through taking action on my creativity, and how that is deeply connected to my soul, purpose, how that's deeply connected to my soul and my spirit, my connection to the divine, and how all of this together can begin a co creation to birth new, grounded, regulated creations into this lifetime that are connected with my soul, which is amazing.
